A Year Later With Kidd Gone Hollins Ready To Take Over Nets
The Nets announced that they have reached an agreement to hire Hollins. The deal will pay him about $4 million to $5 million per year, ESPN.com’s Marc Stein reported prior to the announcement. Hollins last coached the Grizzlies, leading them to 56 wins and a spot in the Western Conference finals in 2013. But he was let go that spring, replaced by one of his assistants, Dave Joerger. According to a source, the plan at the time was that Joerger would get the Memphis job and Hollins would land in Brooklyn or with the Clippers....
